I was out of ricotta so I tried this recipe and my family unit loved information technology! I used Barilla basil and tomato sauce in a jar and even threw in a cup of leftover spaghetti sauce. I used parmesan from a package- finely shredded. I take a "scratch" lasagna recipe that I have used for years that my family liked but never have I had so many raves. Going in my recipe box!
05/18/2009
I am not a huge fan of ricotta so I tried this recipe out. The lasagna was very tasty and had tons of flavour! My swain was skeptical about the sour cream but information technology was delicious. He ate almost half the unabridged dish! I followed the recipe to a T and the simply suggestion I would make is boiling the pasta for a little while longer so that it is much softer and easier to cut with a fork when done. Information technology does not quite taste like traditional lasagna, just it will definitely be making its mode onto my dinner table again. Thanks!
09/09/2010
this was great! i did change it upwardly some, i left out the olives and i used half sour cream half riccotta, and i also used a bigger tin can of tomato sauce and increased the corporeality of spices in the sauce. i put a lot more than mozzerella in it when i made information technology for my brother, simply i like the amount in the original recipe. i'll be keeping this ane!
02/12/2012
This receipe is sooooooo good!! I do not care for ricotta cheese or cottage cheese and so I have never found a lasagna that I liked until tonight. I did make a few changes to the receipe just due to the fact that I did not have all the indredients on manus. Instead of making the sauce I used a sausage onion spaghetti sauce that I had in the panty (it had chunks of lycopersicon esculentum, onion, and sausage in information technology). I also used a 'hot' pork sausage. Later the first bite my husband and i are hooked. I will exist making this dish again and once more!!! Cheers for sharing!!!
04/27/2009
Non really what you lot would expect from lasagna, merely amazing. I made it tonight and was very pleased.
07/06/2010
I take made this recipe several times and beloved it! I follow the recipe exactly except I omit the olives (although I would like them, my family wouldn't) and use fresh basil when I have it. This is the best lasagna recipe I have fabricated, cheers!
09/xvi/2011
Non simply is this very tasty, it solved a huge problem for me ... my kids hate ricotta and I had pretty much given up serving lasagna at domicile. While this does not have a completely tradititional feeling, it is very good, and information technology's an piece of cake lasagna to brand as well. Similar many of the other reviewers, the only change I brand is to leave out the olives.
08/29/2011
I constitute this when I promised my married man lasagna but then realized I had no ricotta! I used my own bootleg Italian sausage sauce and did not use olives. The only part I did employ of this recipe was the cheese mixture...Wow! So I am rating this unabridged recipe 5 stars considering that alone is worthy. I have made this twice...in one case using regular extra broad noodles and in one case using no boil noodles. They both turned out delish!
06/02/2011
I found this recipe in a panic because I did all my shopping and came home WITHOUT my ricotta or even some cottage cheese. I used the "Ingredients" characteristic on AR and came across this succulent recipe. I used my own sauce mix and subbed this sour cream mixture for the ricotta. It was a hitting--and even better the second day!
06/thirty/2009
This was pretty proficient, but notwithstanding didn't have that "something" that I've been looking for. I plant the sauce to be very bland, even after adding more spices to it. I can say, though, that the sour foam was very proficient and both my married man and I were quite pleased with that. I just need to detect that really good spaghetti sauce recipe and this would exist perfect.
03/17/2010
Very good! My husband does not similar Ricotta Cheese, so this was perfect. I plan to omit the table salt next time; it was not needed. I also used no-boil noodles and it came out perfectly.
04/04/2010
Great! I followed the recipe exactly, except I used no-boil noodles and cut out the salt from the sour cream mixture. Sour cream is an excellent idea and the texture from the egg made it very ricotta-like (much more and so than cottage cheese). I actually constitute this recipe while searching for a master dish with greenish olives and I loved the picayune seize with teeth they gave it. I'thousand bummed I couldn't get a good motion-picture show of this, merely will endeavor next time I make it. The guys loved it, and so it looks similar that volition exist soon. Thanks for the recipe!
05/04/2011
Crawly. Everybody loved it.
01/28/2012
It'due south a wonderful recipe, finished in only one seating ^_^ thanks then much for sharing... I never made Lasagna then I really wanted to try this out. I had to cut the ingredients to one-half coz I wasn't looking at the quantity I needed when buying the ingredients. Anyways, this recipe is very plumbing equipment for customization then don't fret then much. I also had to customize, I had no parsleys, I added italian seasoning instead (saw from another lasagna recipe). I also didn't have Pork Sausage, Then I used Sweetness pork longganisa (a philippine equivalent of chorizo). I added tomato paste besides for a stronger flavor.
12/04/2011
I really like this ane. Turned out great. Thanks.
01/23/2011
I made this lasagna with burn down roasted diced tomatos, 1 medium spanish onion, 8 cloves of garlic and a dash of worcestershire sauce. My wife and I consumed the entire pan in 3 days. A uncomplicated and fantastic recipe, thank you for sharing this with u.s..
01/23/2012
I've been searching for the perfect lasagne recipe, and this is it! Not watery, sliced perfectly, and looked beautiful. My family loved it.Very piece of cake to make. I didn't have sausage so I used all ground beef, and it tasted fine. I added a piffling more cheese on pinnacle to make a skillful, thick layer. Definitely keeping this 1.
02/02/2011
My whole family LOVED this recipe! Even my mother in law! I used no-cook noodles and an Italian cheese alloy. I recollect that cheese with the 3/4 cup parmesan made it a little too salty, my ain mistake. Next time I will utilise regular mozzarella. Awesome recipe!
06/xi/2010
This was a very dainty alter from your basic lasagna. I actually used chorizo sausage every bit I didn't accept pork sausage on hand - so I added a little Sazon (seasoning) to the meat, as well as a few more latin seasonings. I used more than meat (as I like information technology meatier. I'thousand too going to play around with this and add together a trivial chipotle westward/adobo sauce to the sour foam mix for a little smoke/heat next time. Thank you then much for the recipe ! [Don't omit the olives - information technology adds so much flavor with the beef]
12/17/2010
Mmmmm mmmm goooood!!! I didnt use the olives and also instead of beefiness and pork I used one pound of turkey ground meat and it was wondrful. I recall next time I am going to add a footling more meat though.
03/11/2012
I've had a good lasagna recipe for the last twelvemonth that calls for cottage cheese or ricotta. Simply nigh of the time I don't accept these two ingredients on hand, so I really wanted to give this sour foam version a try. I followed the recipe pretty close, I simply added more garlic. The verdict? My family loved it! I didn't tell them initially what diary product I used so they were quite astounded past the addition of sour cream. It is rather hard to tell sour cream apart from cottage cheese. Ricotta, on the other manus, has singled-out characteristics that the other two cannot create. Anyway, the flavor was infrequent and I am extremely happy with the results. Since I e'er take sour cream in the fridge, lasagna will exist made more frequently.
04/thirty/2010
Succulent!
12/xix/2010
LOVE, Beloved, LOVE THIS RECIPE! MY SISTER HAD SEEN It Made IT, AND PASSED IT ALONG TO ME. SHE TWEEKED IT A LITTLE, ONLY Considering SHE WAS SHORT ON SOUR Foam, And so INSTEAD SHE ADDED i/2 SOUR Foam AND 1/2 COTTAGE CHEESE. ALSO We USED THE NO Melt LASAGNA. THANK You lot Then MUCH FOR SHARING.
12/09/2010
This was nifty!! I was craving lasagna and didn't have ricotta cheese or cottage cheese so I decided to requite this a endeavour. I normally utilise the "Worlds Greatest lasagna" (I retrieve that is the title) recipe that is on this site and it turns out corking. My husband didn't realize I fabricated a different lasagna and he said he thought this was my best all the same. I told him it was considering it wasn't the same recipe. A couple of things I did dissimilar which was just because of what I had on manus was.... used ground turkey (total pound) rather than footing beef. I used hot Italian sausage instead of pork sausage. I also used extra spaghetti sauce and swiss cheese. I added more than seasoning because the sauce I had on hand was really bland. I added fennel also. Left out olives. Overall I don't retrieve any of these changes really fabricated a large departure. I think the recipe would be great if followed exactly. I volition definitely make again. Might attempt aforementioned recipe with cottage cheese only to see if it is and then good because of the sour cream or if it is the overall recipe that is great.
05/17/2010
This was really skillful. Piece of cake to brand. I followed the recipe every bit is and it turned out wonderful. Will definately make again!!
05/09/2010
Splendid
03/05/2012
This was the showtime time I ever fabricated lasagna. I tried this ane considering of the reviews and then glad I did information technology was great and easy..I was very successful in making this lasagna. Everyone raved about it and the pan was empty at the cease of the consequence. Will make again. I'chiliad so glad I doubled the recipe for a large size lasagna...next time I'll make two. I left out the salt and olives.
01/05/2010
I omitted the olives, only because I forgot to add them. I had already fabricated the "Field Course Spaghetti Sauce" recipe from this site, then I used information technology and it worked out great. No more cottage cheese in lasagna for us, the sour cream is wonderful. This will be my go-to recipe from at present on! Our guests raved and took the leftovers home with them. Thanks for sharing!
11/04/2009
very skilful!! everyone loves this recipe.
03/11/2010
I havde made this recipe twenty times and I always omit the olive. I also layer it a little unlike. With that said I get so many compliments. I was told the other day past my son's instructor that it's the best she's had in her whole life. This is by far the best Lasagna I've ever had it is even improve than Bertoli. I will always make this recipe and definately reccomend it to everyone I encounter. Thanks for posting this recipe on here the earth is a happier place because of it.
09/11/2009
Turned out great...I even added some cream cheese (heated a chip in microwave) with the sour cream
10/31/2011
This was the best lasagna always! I did alter information technology a bit though which is why I simply gave it a four. My changes are every bit follows: Sauté 1 finely chopped onion, i shallot, 3 cloves of garlic, ii tsp oregano & 2 tsp basil, a handful of fresh chopped parsley and table salt and pepper in ii tlbs butter. When this started to sweat I added in 2 links of chopped up hot Italian sausage (I'd rather a slice of sausage then it crumbled up in my sauce) once this was cooked through perchance 4-5 minutes I added the basis beef & cooked until information technology was browned. I didn't drain the meat. Then the diced tomato plant's, the tomato sauce as well equally ½ can love apple paste. I cooked on low for 2 hours. I also fabricated some really small meatballs starting past frying them and finished cooking them in the sauce. For the cheese filling I used ½ container of sour cream & ½ container of cottage cheese, 1 egg, mixed in the parm & mozza and some Southward&P. Baked in a 350 oven for 45min (covered) then turned the oven upward to 425 and cooked for another 10-15 minutes uncovered until it equally dark-brown every bit you like. Permit sit for 15 minutes so the cheese can set. My husband said it was the best he's ever had!!! Information technology was delish!
05/18/2010
Really liked this lasagna, the flavour was awesome. I omitted about a cup of the sour cream mixure and used less noodles. I have never been in to lasagna with ricotta in it and am so happy to observe a recipe that I really like without the ricotta. I also would take never imagined loving the green olives since I do not eat them commonly but it really adds a unique flavor to this dish.
eleven/10/2010
If y'all don't wanna use Ricotta but want the real lasagna taste, this is the perfect recipe. This volition exist a regular in my home.
07/01/2010
didnt follow recipe totally....only did the sour foam portion....It was pretty skilful and I would brand once again!!
01/09/2010
loved it. recipe was simple and the sour cream gave it an extra kick. but change fabricated was that i used Barilla no boil lasagne noodles. i'll be making this one again.
12/15/2010
This is the best lasagna I accept every tasted. We used stewed tomatoes and it worked great I strained the love apple mitxure as I layered information technology together. This was super like shooting fish in a barrel to get in didn't take as long as they said it would. I remember having lasagna once from a restuarant that was amazing and I think this was their recipe, information technology was fantastic.
02/18/2010
nosotros were pleasantly surprised how delicious this was. Dainty recipe for when you practise non take cottage cheese or ricotta on paw. Tastes as good as the real thing!
12/01/2009
wow! this was fantastic. My husband truly enjoyed it. He said he could consume the whole affair! It'south a keeper recipe for certain.
07/21/2013
Actually good flavor! This morning time hubby stated he was hungry for lasagna and then I idea I'd surprise him with a pan for dinner. Every bit I pulled out my ingredients, I discovered my ricotta cheese was not good so I pulled upward AllRecipes and found a recipe that did not call for ricotta or cottage cheese (I tin't stand cottage cheese). This was perfect. He said I could make this recipe once more, even though information technology had no ricotta cheese.
04/26/2010
Thank you for passing this one along from your Grandma....dearest the sour cream in place of ricotta! "Delish" !!! (omitted the salt from recipe, equally I had read some reviews before starting, and maybe next fourth dimension I volition add together some...trial and error folks!!! )
09/12/2013
Made this recipe a few nights ago and my picky family enjoyed it! I would brand it over again. I followed the recipe as written and worked slap-up.
05/28/2012
First, I didn't follow this recipe exactly because I omitted olives because I don't similar them much. I like ricotta and didn't have ricotta on-hand one day; and I was happy to find this recipe since I had sour cream on-manus. I was hesitant well-nigh the flavor and was pleasantly surprised at the result! My hubby really liked the lasagna also and was surprised that I used sour foam. One proffer that I borrowed from a friend is to add thinly sliced carrots to the sour foam (or ricotta) mixture. Carrot adds a crisis, orange color involvement and peradventure nutritional value to whatever lasagna. I also want to effort small-scale cuts of broccoli florets in the sour cream (or ricotta) mixture. This would sort of incorporate the feel of a veggie lasagna into a traditional meat recipe.
08/17/2013
I made this recipe without changing a affair, except I substituted Gluten Gratuitous Rice Lasagne Noodles. Fifty-fifty though they were no boil noodles, I boiled them anyway (7 mins) because the melt fourth dimension for the lasagne is not very long. What I dear best about this recipe, is that at that place was no bubbling over into my oven. I truly dear this recipe and so does my husband. I love the texture more than the clumpy cottage cheese I've tried with other recipes. Thank you, this at present my new Become TO Lasagne recipe.
11/17/2013
I love this recipe!!! I have picky eaters at my business firm then I use only jar love apple sauce (2 jars)and no other tomatoes. I as well omit the salt and use only footing beefiness, or half footing beef one-half ground turkey. It came out very salty using regular sausage and calculation salt. I use barilla no boil noodles and it turns out groovy. Very delicious recipe, a new family unit favorite in my household!
08/23/2013
I'm not a large fan of lasagna so I tried this approach to run across if it made a difference. I followed the recipe perfectly and I was really surprised by how much I like it. The sausage and the olives give it an actress special kick.
08/eighteen/2014
WOW! So very good! Best lasagna I've ever had, and my mom's recipe is astonishing (ricotta). The sour cream is cardinal, don't sub this! I changed the recipe to apply what I had on manus and reduced the servings to 6, although I still was able to make a 2-layer lasagna in a 7X11 dish and a 3-layer lasagna in a breadstuff pan to freeze. Soaked noodles in hot water in sink for besides long, about 45 minutes, fabricated them noticeably chewy but didn't ruin dish, will do for xv minutes next time. I browned venison with chopped: med. onion, 3 cloves garlic, tin can of mushrooms, and sprinkled with garlic pulverization. Used veggie pasta sauce, added ane/2 pocket-sized can of tomato paste to thicken, 2 cans original Rotel, no parsley, double the basil. This sauce looked quite runny, but definitely thickened up nicely after 30 minute simmer. Followed sour cream sauce as directed but cut salt by 2/3, per other reviewers recommending to leave out all together. Added pepper until speckled throughout. This sauce was VERY runny, I thought I did it incorrect, but assembled anyway equally directed. Added 7 minutes to cook time at directed temp. Prepare in 2 hours. This was delicious. My two yo has been fighting me for days on but well-nigh everything and inhaled this with a happy dance. Tin't wait to take next twenty-four hours and from frozen. Will update.
11/13/2013
I personally didn't similar the utilise of the sour cream at all. I was super excited at 1st considering sour cream is way cheaper than ricotta and i always seem to have it. But i only didn't like the texture and unfortunately it didn't seem to have much flavor and i used all the spices...My family didn't detest information technology. neither did I but i certainly didn't beloved it. I will practice this again every bit a final resort.
ten/08/2014
I loved this recipe!!! Information technology was awesome. I did information technology with vegetables instead of meat and sausages (carrots, celery, red sweetness peppers, fresh mushroom, and zucchini)My family loved it.I also omitted the olives.
02/26/2015
Very very very Skilful! Very very creamy much better than ricotta cheese(in my stance!!!)Volition exist making once more !!! Yummmmm
04/21/2013
This was excellent!
12/07/2018
I only used beef on this 1, but OH MY GOSH IS THIS Crawly! Thanks so much for sharing this! Not a huge fan of ricotta cheese, only dear me some sour cream! I used Rao's bootleg marinara sauces and a little extra like you... ugh! THANKSGIVING Total .. if you know what I mean! ????
06/23/2015
Large hit with my family. Even our 5 year sometime cleaned his plate! Made as is. Was as well tempted to leave out the olives. As odd as it sounds, go ahead and throw them in. They add together fantastic flavor. This was amend than the lasagna I've been making for years!
11/20/2012
Yum! Nosotros all enjoyed this much meliorate than the traditional ricotta cheese version. I made it as written only omitted the olives. Thanks!
08/04/2013
My hubby was skeptical at get-go, however, this recipe was a hit. I omitted the olives, but otherwise made it exactly as recipe is written. It was my intention to broil it and let it sit down overnight (things similar this are and then much better the next day). However, when I came down to put information technology in the fridge, my DH had already gotten some of it!! LOL!! We had the residue for dinner the next night and he even took some to work. His co-worker (who is a bachelor) thought it looked and so practiced that he asked if he could have some if any was left. He loved information technology as well. This is a keeper!!
08/28/2019
Information technology merely became my signature dish, my family unit had seconds and some had thirds!
04/04/2013
I didn't use sausage, only mince meat. Best lasagna that I have e'er eaten.
09/eighteen/2014
So instead of ground beef I will be substituting it west turkey and fresh herbs very excited to endeavour this. To exist continued!
07/03/2014
This was one of the best lasagnas I've ever made. From the reviews, I was expecting a fairly different flavor simply to me information technology but tasted similar great lasagna, minus the "grittiness" of ricotta. I don't mind ricotta but I sometimes don't like having to buy information technology just for lasagna when I already go on sour cream on manus for a lot of things. This is now my go-to recipe.
04/11/2014
Fantastic. I don't similar ricotta or cottage cheese and so this was perfect. I used ground turkey and turkey sausage. I didn't put the olives in, only if you like them I bet they would be adept.
10/29/2013
Tasted like a classic lasagna (I omitted the green olives). The texture was great, and information technology held together actually well. I didn't have any lasagna noodles and then I substituted it with pocket-sized shells (I used about 12 oz and cooked them al dente similar you would the lasagna noodles). I layered them in the aforementioned way and information technology turned out great. I could still cut the pieces into squares, oddly enough. (I thought it would plough out to exist more of merely like a goulash consistency.)
07/30/2013
loved it. fabricated many times. I add a piffling ricotta. Oasis't used the green olives however - keep forgetting to buy. It'south a basic lasagna that everyone will like - even picky eaters that don't like spicy or sausage or garlic flavors. And its just foolproof to cook. I ever take plates of it to the neighbors for easy lunch the next twenty-four hours!
02/xx/2015
Style better than any other lasagna recipe! Sour cream makes it! I've made this several times, continue coming back to information technology and friends have begged for recipe! Sooooo yummy!
07/29/2013
I Honey Lasagna - Now I Love It Even More!
01/01/2013
This was the best lasagna I've ever made! Very delicious, the whole family enjoyed it. I love that there's no ricotta or cottage cheese. The only changes I fabricated were to use garlic salt in place of salt (and I used less than called for) and all we had was lowfat sour cream (couldn't tell it was lowfat at all!). It was easy to make and came out perfect. Cheers for the recipe!!
04/14/2014
Dearest the light-green olives and sausage! Squeamish addition to lasagna.
10/xv/2017
absolutely amazing!! few things tho, I didn't utilise olives. I put a tiny bit of ricotta with the sour foam and added a few more spices. thing was I had to add more meat. i don't know if they call for extremely thin layers just with the layers I made I had to make more meat with sauce to finish the top layers. overall amazing! my whole family loves it. my fiance begs for it lol
02/20/2013
1st time I have ever made Lasagna. Amazing. Always had the traditional Lasagna my female parent made when I was young, then thought I would try this out. Followed exactly and it was outstanding and a nice, relaxing dish to brand. I take been thinking almost doing it again hither the terminal few days.
01/29/2019
I had fun making information technology. I made 2 for the freezer.. SO past the time we get around to eating them. .. {On one of THOSE nights where I Hate the kitchen,The stove, & Especially the Dishes UGG. And but NEED a pause} The flavors should be melded perfectly!! Super Excited nearly that!! These were super elementary to make, and the ingredients mainly were already in my cupboard or refrigerator.. Besides the price is right.. What it toll me to make 2 lasagna, I could get peradventure 1 of those freezer lasagnas at the shop. These are so much ameliorate!!
08/03/2018
I made this a few years agone with my grandmother. It's probably been the best lasagna we've had since then, so expert we nevertheless talk well-nigh it to this solar day.
01/21/2013
Family actually enjoyed, except for the chunks of tomatoes only I couldn't fifty-fifty sense of taste them. Were trying out lasagna recipes, we would make this again.
09/23/2012
This recipe was first-class! I made it for my fellow and family and everyone loved it. I didn't boil the noodles I just soaked them in warm water. I besides didn't use pork sausage and simply used a pound of basis beef. I would absolutley recommend this recipe for others to try!
10/05/2016
I made this first nigh three years ago, just left out the olives, and haven't stopped hearing about information technology since! Everyone loved it, except my married woman...she thought it was too rich. Now information technology is our go to repast when she goes out of town!
01/21/2016
This was soooooo good! My hubby and I both dislike ricotta cheese, so this was a very pleasant surprise. I used chicken instead of pork and beefiness, and added spinach, mainly because it was what I had on hand. And for the record, my husband strongly despises olives, and he however loved this dish. For the reviews lament almost it being banal...well, add the seasoning to your own tastes! Oh, I besides added a petty more sauce. This is a wonderful wonderful recipe with tons of room to add together and subtract as yous volition. Thanks!!!
x/eighteen/2012
Wonderful lasagne and don't have to buy ricotta!! Left out the olives and used soya burger, very skilful...added some fennel seeds cutting upwardly for some 'sausage ' flavour
03/31/2022
Very good. Subbed in Greek yogurt. Used only ii eggs. Added frozen spinach, demand to drain more next time. Used but 1 lb cheese. nine or 10 noodles is perfect- can't increase amounts too much or dish will overflow.
01/30/2021
Excellent. Used oven ready noodles and Quorn meatless grounds and MarningStar Farms veggie Italian sausage crumbles instead of pork sausage and beef. Otherwise followed recipe exactly. Could not tell there was no meat. All-time lasagna yet.
12/04/2020
This recipe was astonishing. I have tried lasagna a few times over the years, and it was a hot mess. I gave it one last shot. I doubled the amount of meat...ane lb of pork and ground turkey. The recipe didn't have plenty meat for me. I omitted parsley, basil, oregano, olives, and garlic because I didn't have it....I still think I stayed pretty truthful to the recipe. I follow the remaining steps exactly and had the proportions. I did use my new air fryer to broil at 400 F for 15-20 mins..and you lot see how information technology came out. I had enough for a second pan which I topped with fresh mozzarella and will bake at some hereafter time.
eleven/07/2012
This was neat. LOVE the cheesy-ness. The only thing is that I think I need more tomato plant sauce. I used the oven ready lasagna noodles and I call back those soaked upwards most of the sauce.
03/29/2018
Super good. I didn't tell my family that I used the sour cream rather than ricotta cheese, and they didn't notice a difference. I even used low fat sour foam and saved a few calories!! It was moist delicious.
04/23/2018
It was great! Another review said information technology'southward not like regular lasagna, but still good - simply I would say I didn't notice that information technology was not similar regular lasagna. It was great and groovy for when y'all don't have ricotta on mitt and need a spontaneous lasagna! We made it with Italian sausage (instead of footing pork and beef), jarred spaghetti sauce (instead of making our own), only ane egg, and less sour cream. I would say the sour cream modifications were the only important ones - I think we had near 10 ounces of sour cream, and then I added the balance of a tub of cream cheese, maybe 2 ounces.
11/13/2015
Amazing!!!
03/03/2016
Oh. my. lasagna! This has been my 'become-to' for astonishing lasagna ever since I found it! I do make changes, just not plenty to brand it a dissimilar recipe. I add grated zucchini and mushrooms, apply Greek yogurt instead of the sour cream, and since I cannot swallow sausage - I employ all ground beefiness. LOVE this considering it is NEVER dry out (like mine used to e'er exist!) and the season... WOW! Thanks so much!
11/15/2018
Made it by the recipe and my family unit loved it!!! Very easy but tasty
x/29/2015
Fabled!!!! When your 82 yr old mother wants the recipe, you know it'southward good! I made exactly every bit listed. Omitted the olives.
08/23/2017
I have nothing against ricotta but was intrigued by this recipe. I'yard so glad I tried it! It was delicious and I volition be making it again. Adjacent time I will definitely cut the salt in half...the olives and sausage made the dish salty plenty. And I think I volition add together mushrooms to the reddish sauce.
07/12/2015
A unlike twist to lasagna. I merely had 8 oz. of sour cream, so I fabricated up the other 8 oz. with Greek plain yogurt. Omitted the olives, due to personal taste. This was very good, but I missed the heavier taste that the ricotta cheese gives the cheesy layer. Merely, I usually take sour cream and/or Greek yogurt on hand, so I would make this once again. I permit it remainder for 10 minutes when I took it out of the oven, before cutting. Loved the way it ready, cut and served. I fabricated three goulash dishes out of i recipe. I for us, my in-laws and son and DIL. Served ours with cottage cheese,'Open Faced Mozzarella Sandwich' and 'Like shooting fish in a barrel Fried Eggplant' both AR recipes.
04/22/2022
great recipe - added chicken sausage instead of pork but that was it.
01/25/2020
I added peppers and onions and a jar of sauce. WOW!!!
09/12/2019
Loved this. I doubled the meat quantities (hate, hate, detest recipes that utilise odd amounts like 1/2 lb of meat or one cup of tomato sauce) . Because of that I added an extra 14 oz can of tomatoes. And tripled the herb amounts. Otherwise I fabricated it pretty much down the line. Love the twang the light-green olives add together. As I type this I'm having leftovers for brekkie. Lasagna, information technology's not just for dinner anymore.

Similar many others used a jar of pasta sauce, no olives, instant lasagna sheets and a mozzarella / cheddar / parmesan mix on top (still 250g) . Otherwise, followed the recipe and information technology was fantastic, everyone loved it. Will now be my go to lasagna recipe. Will only use one-half the salt though, sauce jar has a fair bit as well. For anyone who wants metric use around 500ml sour foam, 500g mozzarella (halved, equally per recipe). Thank you for this corking recipe!

This was a smashing recipe! Turned out peachy. I tend to alter recipes based on what I have in the pantry/refrigerator. I used one 15 oz. can lycopersicon esculentum sauce and i fifteen oz. can diced tomatoes. I also used 1 lb hamburger meat. Turned out nifty.

Oh goodness, this was awesome! Super tasty and my new go-to recipe for lasagna. Who knew you could use sour cream! So happy to find this recipe equally my hubs dislikes ricotta cheese, and I didn't have cottage cheese on hand. I fabricated the recipe as written, just omitted the olives (disliked). Threw on some parsley as my "pretty it up" garnish. ....gotta go, fourth dimension for 2nds!

I was skeptical about the sour foam, but decided to try it. We were very pleased. Dearest all the cheese! Didn't add together the light-green olives, just considering. One other thing I do dissimilar: I use ordinary lasagna noodles, (not the no-eddy), layer them without boiling, assemble the lasagna, and then add one/4 cup water in each corner of pan. Cover well, and bake every bit usual. Comes out every time. Thanks for the sour cream idea. Also this freezes well, as I just took mine from the freezer today.

I will be making this again soon. I used not-fat greek yogurt rather than sour cream. My husband who loves sour cream didn't notice the change up. I as well used the no eddy noodles. It made for a very easy and quick meal. I made this in ii 9x9 pans. I baked 1 and froze the other for a piece of cake future dinner.
